hotmail popup to prevent spammers you will ha

Specs: Windows 27.07.2009
In trying to send hotmail, i get a pop up that says'to prevent spammers you will have to enter characters' There does not seem to be a box to enter characters into, nor a box with the characters to enter. I'm using a 10 yr old version of XP

Using XP and msn browser. Hope that clarifies enough to find a solution.

I would suggest you maybe try an alternate browser like firefox or opera and see if you still get that message.
BTW MSN is not a browser ;-) You probably mean Internet Explorer.

MSN does have a browser...MSN Explorer.

The link above even shows a graphic of it. The OP should take a look and read about the various versions of MSN Explorer (late versions no longer free).

Regardless, trying an alternate browser may be helpful. It sounds like a "Captcha"-like feature, which may require a more recent browser version to deal with the scripting involved. The feature is intended to help prevent 'robots' from spamming from your account.
