I have a removable hard disk. Under Win98SE, I could assign/reconfigure the HD as "Removable" that allows hot-swap function. Can't seem to do that in WinXP...any ideas? Thanks!

Hello Jeff:

First of all, this is possible under XP.

How you implement this may depend on the hot swap unit you have. MS website is slower than paint drying on a cold day tonight, but perhaps this link will get you started:

What I read their initailly refers to laptops but if you hunt around you may find more info. Anyways, all of this IS covered in the XP Resource kit, but that book and CD happen to be at my apt in the city.

Good Luck!
