OS: win XP Pro
CPU/Ram: 496 MB Ram

Trying to help a friend. Home will stay on Google. I put google in the address bar, brought up the site. Went to tools,internet options and clicked on use current.

However it will not stay as the home page. any ideas on how I can keep it on google?

sounds like adware/spyware BHO...run ad-aware, spybot, and microsoft antispyware (make sure they are up to date) when done set homepage and see if it stays

These worked for me:

Spybot S&D

Make sure to up-date it before using it.
1-Check for problems
2-Fix Problems
3-Immunize

Adaware SE Personal

Spyware Blaster

CWShredder

Also make sure to do a complete virus scan and just as a precaution I also use

WinPatrol

That should put you back on track and they are all freebies!
