Comment:

I just recently installed Verison DSL and now find that in Internet Explorer that I can not change the home page. Verison set it and now the boxes to change it are grayed out.

I've looked in several places and it sounds like for me to do a IE 6.0 Repair I would have to reinstall all IE updates as well as Win XP SP2. I would sure appreciate any and all suggestions on how I could correct this without having to reinstall Win XP SP2.

Thanks in advance.

You should not have to go through re-installing everything. Pretty crappy of them to do that! You can download HijackThis or Ad-Aware or Spy-bot and use one of them to fix this. Just be careful, with some of these progs you can delete the wrong things.

If you are comfortable with editting the Registry, you can change the Start Page at:

Hkey_Current_User
Software
Microsoft
Internet Explorer
main
Start Page
