Hi everyone, my problem is i currently run a network through my 2 computers with a windows 98 and a windows me, everything is great. But today, i brought a new computer that runs windows xp, but it says when i put in the floopy disk with the homenetworking wizard data onto the new xp machine, i get a message saying that in order for it to work, it must be running windows me, 98, or 95. So what can i do, is there a update or something? Or are the two machines just not compactible to each other with homenetworking.
Thanks
mike

the correct way to do what you want is to run the home networking wizzard on the xp machine. (which is on the xp machine).

Then you will be given 4 options on how you want to handle the other two machines. I normally use the use xp cd option.

it works great and you will have fun. Also get rid of the old networking disk.

It will not work unless you plan on changing the xp machine to me or 98.

Also, You might have to disable the firewall in your XP machine to allow the other computers in!
