Little problem here, thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
I have two pc's, one runs as a server using two nic's (one for internet, other one for the home network through a 4-port hub); the other pc connects to the hub to get it's lan and internet connection. Everything works fine for about 5-30 minutes (files sharing, internet sharing, etc.) then out of nowhwere the second pc (non-server one) loses it's connection to the server pc. The primary pc (server) will continue to run fine and still has all it's internet connection and still shows the network as being up and running. Rebooting the secondary does nothing to fix the problem, but if I reboot both pc's then everything works fine for another 5-30 minutes. I've done this setup numerous times with up to 4 pc's running off the network and have never had any problems in the past. I'm at a loss as to why i'm suddenly running into this problem. Does this sound like a faulty nic? Maybe a needed service that I've disable since the last time I setup the network?
