i bought a used apple studio display 21" crt monitor and it rules hell. i can go as high as 1280x1024 and its all great. but whenever i try 1600x1200, the text is small!
windows seems to be the only one with such problem, mac os never gave me any of this issues, even fedora when i had it installed worked very nicely with high resolutions.
i know you can make the text bigger on the browser (i use firefox) and i think one can do this the dpi settings on the display properties, but is this the only way to do it? sometimes the text looks rather s---. and it doesnt work for everything.
is there another way to do it?
my graphics card is a nvidia geforce 6100, have the latest drivers and the monitor is detected by windows.

Hi
Have you tried right clicking desktop, selecting properties and then the appearance tab. The Last dropdown box is for fonts with the choice of Normal, Large, and Extra Large
Kind regards
brizboy

yes, i tried that and i can say that didnt look so nice.
what i want though, is a way for it to look as nice as it does in 1280x1024 but at 1600x1200, like pretty much every other os out there. seems windows is the only one that does not like high resolutions :(
thanks for the help though :)
