So I reformatted my Roommates computer, and now, he cant run WoW without Explorer.exe spiking the processor to max. The game experiences incredible lag, any ideas?

Did you browse the web before installing anti-virus or spyware prevention programs. If so, search for spwyare and viruses to make sure your PC is clean.
If that's not the problem, I've heard of a problem where windows doesn't handle AVI files correctly causing high cpu usages with Explorer.exe. Check out this article and see if it helps: http://www.tweakxp.com/article36817...
