Comment:

I am trying to hide drive of the other partition of a dual boot computer. In both side wxp has been installed. I don't want to see other patition's drive from one side. Normally I can do this by changing drive letter of the partitios. But in this case, one of the partition seems system partition and the other one seems boot partition. And WXP does not let me change these type of partitions' drive letters. Is there any other way to hide other partition or change the system partition to the other partition.
Thnks in advance & Brgds

psenyucel: follow these steps:

set a restore point;
click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore.

click Start, Run, type: regedit

navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.

right-click the Servers key, and select New | DWORD value.

name the value NoDrives.

press [Enter] twice to open the Edit DWORD Value dialog box.

using the list below, type a number that corresponds to the drive you want to hide in the Value Data text box, and click OK.

A: 1
B: 2
C: 4
D: 8
E: 16
F: 32

close the Registry Editor.
restart the system or log out of Windows XP in order for the change to take effect.
