Hi All,
I am trying to hide msn messenger 7.0 from appearing in the Add/Remove programs. I have been hiding a few other programs by change the registry the DisplayName to nodisplayname but dont seem to be able to find msn messenger. Anyone knows how to hide it? Thanks. Jase

The best way to hide it is to throw it in the garbage then lock the door so it can't get back in.

Developer, go to Control Panel, Add or Remove programs, on the left side click Add/Remove Windows Components and uncheck Windows Messenger, click next and OK. Click Start, run, type msconfig, click OK. On the Startup tab uncheck msmsgs, click Apply and restart your computer. Your messenger should be in the garbage now. Good luck Nikolaus

Did you try a registry search for "MSN"?
I can tell you that "MSN Messenger 7.5" is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{CEB3A11A-03EA-11DA-BFBD-00065BBDC0B5}
I don't know about version 7.0 but a search of the Uninstall registry branch should find it.
