Why not just go in and set each icon to always hide? That would give you your whole taskbar.

Right-click on the taskbar and I think there's a customize option on that first page. That's how I've got mine set up.

Hope this helps...sorry I don't know the registry setting.

Yeah, I don't wanna do that because when i DO need to fiddle with a program from the Systray, I don't want to have to unhide it by clicking the button time and time again. If when clicked they could stay unhidden for a minute or so, would be the perfect solution for me.

I'm sure I've found the whereabouts of the setting, but am not sure which value to change.............

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify

right click on taskbar
properties
to the right of hide icons is customize
set each icon that you don't want to see to "always hide" they will still be accessable by pressing the left pointing arrow.

hope this helps

Hey guys, can anyone point me to the registry setting that determines the length of time before the systray icons are classed as inactive ??

I want to reduce it to a minute or so to reclaim taskbar space.

Thanks.
