My computer has become extremely slow..it's only 3 months old,have all the spywares, Trend Micro on it, run it daily...yesterday everyone on my yahoo msgr list got a virus in their msg box from ME..i MUST have a virus but all the checks come up clean????? how do i STOP .net messenger from automatically opening up?

Turn off System Restore. Reboot your computer and go to this address and scan your computer. Symantec also offers a free online virus scan if you want to use that one. When scans are complete and you are sure you do not have a virus, turn SR back on.

The online virus check will have the latest virus updates, so it's a good thing to try. Do yourself a favor BACKUP!
