use the function key and f4 and pc goes straight into hibernation also funct and f3 for standby Steve

Func-F4 is not Hibernate on my computer. (must be model specific?) Navigate to C:\windows\system32 find the file rundll32.exe create a shortcut on your desktop to it by right clicking rundll32.exe, drag to desktop and select create shortcut. right click the shortcut, select properties. in the Target after rundll.exe add the following ' PowrProf.dll,SetSuspendState Hibernate' no quotes. It is case sensitive, remember a space after .exe Change Icon to something you like. Rename shortcut to Hibernate, or something you like. I have done it to 2 computers without problems.
