When I put my Xp Pro in hibernation the fans stay on. What's wrong?
If you're asking about a desktop, you shoudn't be using hibernate (or standby)...those are features that were designed for mobile devices. Adjust your power options settings.

I know it's meant for laptops, but I like that it shuts down and starts back up faster, so I want it to work right.

"but I like that it shuts down and starts back up faster, so I want it to work right." I agree. Are you sure you're not putting it in sleep mode-that is, standby ? If standby is set to S1 in the bios, then the cpu fan will remain on.

No, I'm putting it in hibernation. Also, when I try to put it in s3 standby the fans stay on.
