Not sure what to do on this forum yet - I never used one before, oh I posted a reply but I dont know if U got it or not
Also I have to sign off now and get somne sleep. I got a really weird script when I was reading a licence copywrite for software. I can send it later, i'ts not normal. I think someone put a flash drive in muy usb port or something I have DSL but it's on MSn network instead of att.net. Also every time I change my Computer name. it comes back shortned I want it over 15 characters because I do not want to be on a network, but it won't let me. I use a ethernet. I also noticed I have all these mobile phone drivers recently installed, I mean ton of them! I did not install them. I am missing all my nero software as well. I restore it with a recover disk alot. When I use the restore disk in the E: drive cd rom - I was told to push R til I het the recover screen. When Windows starts from the harddrive, or C local disk drive, it sais press F-11 to start recovery - what's sthe difference? Also - I am confused - - I can't tell the difference between Explorer.exe, Windows Internet Explorer, Microsoft Innternet Explorer, MSN Internet Explorer or just Plain Internet Explorer ... Because they all run randomly each time I do a search - Is that normal? Also The explorer exe. and the other ones run at the same time. I have to sleep now, so I wont be able to post for a while, - - Later

You are restricted to 15 character for Computer name. There is nothing you can do about that.

You say you do not want to be on a netwrok and then go onto say that you use Ethernet. So do does everyone else if they are on a network. Ethernet is a network protocol. You also say you use DSL. Like it or not that means you are part of a netwrok.

Explorer.exe is the programm that displays the drive and folders on your computer. All the variations of Internet Exporer you mention are just different names for the same thing, basically Internet Explorer.

Click run and type explorer. Then do the same and type iexplore and you will see the difference.

For me, I prefer posts to be of a single nature. Make three posts if you have three questions. Each responder has different talents and may be best at a single answer. We sometimes never look at answers that have an reply so we never know if the question was fully answered.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
