I recently installed hewlett packard's printer/scanner/fax/copier onto my pc. For some strange reason my pc will not let me remove the printer program from add/remove programs. I tried to remove the files individualy by using the pc search from the start menu, but I failed in my attempts( no search ended with no files found). What should I do to remove this program from my pc? Personallly I think the printer program has been corrupted. Thanx for your support in advance.

Did you make sure that your printer was unplugged from your computer before you tried to uninstall the program? I also have the all-in-one.

Yes I did, and the hp officejet v series will not delete from the add remove programs. The all-in-one is taking up 233.00 MB, is that normal? What should I do?

Try control panel-system-hardware and uninstall it there.

I have the psc 2210v series and it does take up 220 mb. It also shows as another drive under my hardware list. One program that I would highly recommend is Your Uninstaller 2004. I have found this program to uninstall programs that the regular Windows uninstaller couldn't. I love it so much that I finally paid for it. Just curious, but what kind of problem were you having with your HP that you want to uninstall it?

I wanted to uninstall the program because the scanner was malfunctioning.

Why I had asked is because I would have a problem once in a while with the printer not working correctly and I would have to uninstall it. But I never did come across a problem with not being able to uninstall. I would get the shareware version of Your Uninstaller 2004. It will let you uninstall 2 applications. Here is the url for it:

It will even detect any program that you already have installed (HP). If you get it uninstalled, go to the HP website and download the updated software and drivers for your model. After I got the updated software and drivers I haven't had any problems. Please let me know how you make out.
