Hercules Game Fortissmo II problems

I have a Hercules Game Fortissmo II sound card. My computer wont recognize it. I tried old drivers from the cd and new form the site. My computer wont recognize them when i find them in the "add new hardware" tab. How can i get my computer to recognize this card. It did before, now it doesnt. Oh yeah, i did change it from slot to slot, still nothing.

delete all references to sound card(s) in Device Manager, turn off the computer, remove the card. boot the computer, turn off the computer, insert the card, boot the computer.
