i need to set my computer so that it does nothing when i press the power button, i dont want it to shut down please help me

JC. Do this go to your control panel>Power Options> Tab Advance. And set it what you want to do when you hold down the power button.

If you are simply bumping it accidently, you may be able to disconnect the power switch and hook up the reset switch in it's place, and use it (the reset) to turn the computer on and off

(I'm assuming accidental contact is the problem, and that the reset is harder to uh, bump.)

my roommate has a habbit of tuing off the computer thinking he left it on when im buurining a cd or downloading so i want to set my computer os that pressing the power button will not shut it down
