Last night I got hit with a trojan that unleashed a torrent of Spyware and Adware.

I have Kaspersky AV Personal 5.0.

After having to reactivate my TaskManager due to the virus, I booted into safe mode. and disabled Explorer and gave my comp. a scan using the maximum protection settings and it detects a pile of dangerous files. However it does not delete all of them. It deletes maybe 2/3rds of them. Naturaly, I boot back up and am faced with the same annoying pop ups and browser hijacks. Hijack this does not seem to help either.
The advice I need is on what I am doing wrong to combat this annoyance. If you need me to post a Hijack this log, or a log from the Kaspersky AV, let me know.

Any other help you can give me to start me off in the right direction is very appreciated. I know this post lacks detail, but just let me know what you need to know, and I will post back with any answers you need.

Thanks

Matt

disable system restore reboot, then run online scans with internet explorer at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
scan with both antivirus and antispyware there.
then run a scan at http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm

and try microsoft antispyware.

To disable System Restore
Click Start > My Computer.
Click Properties.
On the System Restore tab, check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply > click OK.
Restart the computer

To re-enable System Restore
Click Start > My Computer.
Click Properties.
On the System Restore tab, uncheck Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply > click OK.
Restart the computer.
