My boot drive which I have Xp installed on is 37.7 gigs in capacity. If I add up the dirs it shows about 4gigs being used but still only shows 2gigs free. Any ideas on why this is doing this? or how to fix it?

check your motherboard/computer manufacturers site for hard drive size bios limits.
and or your hard drive manufacturers site
for installing a drive overlay/ez bios/ez drive, app on your hard drive.
so you can access all of your drive.
you might have to start over after getting an updated bios flash, or after installing ez drive or other bios unlimit utility.
if you boot from dos does it see the whole drive?
does your bios see the whole drive?
what motherboard/computer/bios chip are you using?
