Help! My wireless network, or lack there of, is driving me crazy. I currently have three desktops wired up through a Linksys Router (BEFSR41) and all our working great. No problems sharing files or accessing the internet with them. The problem started when I bought a new Compaq Presario 3000 notebook computer and decided to add a Belkin wireless G access point (F5D7130) to my existing linksys router. Hooked everything up and configured the access point per the instruction manual using one of my desktop (wired) computers. My compaq presario connects no problem to the wireless access point and I have excellent signal strength.
My problem is that I can't actually DO anything through the access point with my notebook. I can't load any web pages, I can't ping any sites, I can't see any of my shared drives. I can't even configure the access point using my wireless connection. When I type in 192.168.2.254, it won't load. I even changed my TCP/IP address to 192.168.2.200, per the instruction book first. Also tried to run the home networking wizard on my laptop and no luck, I still can't do anything through my access point. I returned my original access point to the store thinkin it might be faulty but this one has the exact same "problems." Now I'm sure I must have missed something and was hoping one of you kind people might point me in the right direction. Please tell me what you think I need to do to get this thing working. Thanks!
Here is some stats from my notebook that will hopefully help:

You have them in different subnets.
All should be on the same subnet.
255.255.255.0Not:
DHCPServer = 255.255.255.255(Invalid IP Address)
IPSubnet = 255.255.0.0

Thanks for the info Dave! Now here's a noob question for you... Where do I go to change the Subnet as you described?
Tks again

On the router, you would change it in the configuration page. The same page you entered your ISP settings into the router.
The clients should be set to auto detect, in the Local area connection, TCP/IP properties.
