Once the download happens it inspects your current configuration. I then receive the error: THE PRODUCT KEY USED TO INSTALL WINDOWS IS INVALID.
How do I obtain a valid product key? The xp pro that I am using was purchased by me and is not a second-hand version.

Is your version pirated or genuine? There is an XP CD Key Changer out there I know for sure.

Explore my computer and then click on Help and then Is this copy of windows legal. If you know it is legal call Microsoft for a new product key.
