c:\public is a view of the local drive

To may a drive you have to share it first
then you net use driveletter: \\servername\sharename

When it comes to users folders on a server there are more advanced features to consider. For example you would not want others to view the contents of James home folder.

So where is your network administrator?

Hi the problem is the files are already shared but there are 168 users and each has a different folder and the stupid administrator has gone on holiday and left his phone at his home
