hi, i have a hp "7500 series" external burner, but i just canīt make it work under windows xp...
i downloaded the burner drivers and the free software (RecordNow) from www.hp.com, and when iīm going to burn, it "burns ok" (thatīs what the program says), but when iīm going to read the cd, it just doesnīt work... i tried to read it in 2 pcs and itīs just empty...
then, i downloaded the easy cd creator 5, and it didnīt recognize my burner, then i downloaded nero 5.5.8, it recognized my burner and when i was going to burn, it says that "the medium wasnīt correct"... i donīt understand why...
please help me.....i tried with a verbatim cd... i tried to burn 650mb, and 700mb and it just didnīt work...

Hi!
I had the same Problem but with the HP7200e. I tried everything but no luck. Then I found a site that said you needed a Parallel Port Driver WinXP_LPT_Driver.exe for it. You can downloaded it from HP Homepage under:http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/cposupport/swdl.pl?c=co186&i=co186en&p=hpcd-write10789&n=hp+cd-writer+plus+external+7500e+drive
Copy and past the long URL into the Browser address bar. Hope this will work, it did worke for me. There is also an instruction file how to install.
Peter

i already did it, i could burn just 1 ISO... but trying to burn simple files, it says the same: that its ok, but the cd is really damaged!
=(
