Specs: Windows XP
I have a window's XP computer and I've had it for a few years now and it's been good, at first it was really fast and then it got slow but now it has got to the point where it takes about 20 minutes just for me to load my internet browser and MSN.
I have an external hard drive which everything is on, all my files from my doccuments and when I last defraged my computer (about 2 weeks ago, i do it monthy not that it helps at all) it said I had 75% space on my C: drive.
What do you think I should do?
I have done everything that people have reccomended to speed up my computer.
Do I install my programs onto my external hard drive, so they are no longer on the C: drive or do something else, please help me! lol

Since you have already been sensible by keeping backups of all your own files, I would re-install Windows from scratch. Nothing is more likely to get your PC back to it's former speed.
