im trying to enable boot from cd on my computer so that i can install windows xp home, it will only let me into CMOS setup, not sure if this is the same as BIOS or not. I try to enter Advanced CMOS setup but it just says "View DMI event Log" then it freezes. Im sure that the boot from cd option is in the Advanced CMOS setup, any ideas anyone? or shall i just go ahead and create the 6 xp disks?
BIOS/CMOS are words that mean the same thing in regards to entering "setup" to make the change you wish to do. The big question is who makes your computer? If it is a custom built, who makes your motherboard?
