help! wierd sata prob in WinXPsp2

I bought a sata hd and installed Windows on it. I worked fine.. When I removed my IDE it said something about not finding something and I had to reinstall WinXP on my sata.. Could there be further probs with sata if I change my mobo or something?

But now to the wierd thing.. Next to the clock in the lower left corner there is a drive icon with a green arrow on it. When I doubleclick, it opens a window that says something about safely removing devices and a stop button. The only thing I see there is my sata drive C:.. WTF!? I dont want to remove my hd when Im in windows..

I have the same icon with my SATA. Right click on your taskbar>Properties>Taskbar tab>Customize then click on the unwanted icon, go to the pull-down menu and choose "Always Hide."
