I am having trouble and I can't figure it out. My computer is custom built by me and I have a video problem. My monitor flickers ONLY on the upper 25% of the screen. I have tried another monitor, another video card, even replaced my motherboard that I had problems with (used the exact same board). The only thing I can think of is a bad processor or the DDR??? It is getting old in tech terms but it is not something I want to upgrade just yet. It has an MSI KT7-266 PRO MB with an athlon 1.2GB processor, 256 DDR, Ge-Force 5200 video card (128-DDR, AGP). The screen gets worse after setting idle for a while, clears up (not completely) with a reboot but gets MUCH worse with a cold boot. Some one please tell me what is wrong before I get fed up and upgrade the thing, I really can't afford to right now as I want the new AMD 64!!!! TIA!!
