Ok, so imm trying to uninstall Spector Professional Edition 5.0, it's a program designed to monitor activity on the computer...the problem is, my boyrfriend installed it...and apparently "forgot" the password...so he can't uninstall it. So...even if he says he's not going to read the emails that this programs sends him every so often about the activity on the computer...i cant really trust him. i just need to know how to uninstall without the password

please, thanks

If I knew what the computing.net's policy on circumventing software is, I'd respond with a howto. However, this does fall in the line of a computing.net search of spyware programs. ;]

get SIW and click on 'passwords' and see what it reveals. just download and run the file, no installation needed.

post back it is working, if not we'll try a brute force approach to the problem

p.s. ever thought of uninstalling that 'boyfriend' of yours?

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

If you believe this you don't deserve a new boyfriend.

I find that my firewall pops up warning about sending outbound packets when clicking on some of the features a little disturbing. What are these packets? What information is being sent? Is someone out there being able to see what all license keys and passwords are? Of course I'm blocking all this.
