Everytime I switch on the System Configuration Utility window appears with the message that I had changed it. It also has the option "Windows open normally" ticked. On the left is a little window inviting me to click it should I not want to see that message again. Whatever I do the window is back the next time I switch on. How can I make it not appear again.

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

You need Microsoft's TweakUp or Xteq X-Setup (http://www.xteq.com/downloads/) and NTRegOpt http://www.snapfiles.com/get/ntrego...

1. With X-Setup clear the Code Page for Internet Epxlorer (and other paranoid features).
2. With NTRegOpt defrag the registry.

Make sure that you save the registry and create a System Restore Point (HTTP://tinyurl.com/253en) before making any change since NTRegOpt will not revert any changes.

Once you do that you should be able to remove the MSCONFIG popup window.

Sorry for responding so late. It all looks complicated to me but I'll give it a shot. Will report back.
