Comment:
Although my hard disks checks out ok with either 'Fix it Utilities or XP defrag and scandisk, whenever I reboot my system it always goes into checkdisk during boot up. It also checks one disk ok then hangs on the next disk, necessitating another reboot. All I can do is skip the disk check next time and yet when 'manually checking that disk it checks out ok? HELP???????????

Did you try safemode? Boot in safe mode and maybe it will get through the disk check at startup. Then the next time you start (without safemode) it should boot normal. Mine did the same thing.

What is "safe mode" and how do you get to it?. I do not as yet have those problems, but I would like to know how to use it in case I have those problems. Thanks in advance. Bill
