Help! Thanks to two replies suggesting how to deal with restoration. I have one more option but need help on how to setup my desktop as server for laptop to use image file for restoration. Both machines have realtek agent but I unable to find step-by-step setup procedure.

Setting up a network is actually easier than it sounds. First make sure that you have "Microsoft Client for Networks" loaded on on the Realtek cards on both computers. Your local help files will tell you how to do that. You will also need to load the "File and print sharing modules. Then make sure you have the same work group names on each computer. I think the default work group that comes already set is "MSHOME". After you have installed the file sharing module, when you right click on one of your drives or folders there should be a "Sharing" tab that appears along with the other tabs at the top. Activate the file sharing for each drive or folder that is needed. At this point, the computers themselves should be able to figure the rest!
