You may be able to restore Windows from a hidden partition on the hard drive. You need to read the Acer manual to find out how. Usually you need to hit certain keys when first starting the laptop. I don't know the Acer sequence though.
This is a public forum. As such we don't provide individual answers. Don't post your email address in the open like that unless you LIKE span.

It sounds as though you are using a older boot CD with an invalid device call in the config.sys or autoexec.bat file.
Since you still have access to the net, try visiting bootdisk.com and making a boot disk without the ramdrive. Either way hopefully you'll find what you need there and be able to create a CD that will serve your purpose.
Good luck.

Yes the CD is bootable n i have confirmd n checked it so many times
n thnkx for the quick reply, i will do try the thing and the last, i waz new in this forum but i ll do careful abt emails etc.. in posting here

@Gul18 - Shalom aleichem.
Did you boot from your OS cd to format the hard drive?
I think that to reinstall the OS from the hidden partition on an Acer you hit F9 on bootup.
Good luck.

yes i hav formated from a bootable win98 cd
but unfortunately there is no F9 option in Accer... i mean nothing happens when i press on F9 at POST/Boot time..

I may have gotten Acer mixed with Asus. From response #3 here http://www.wilderssecurity.com/show... it seems you might be able to use Alt+F10
