I bought a Element Electronics gc 920/940 mp4 player. I plugged it in to my computer, i didnt charge it a full 4 hours like the manual says. but i also didnt click on safe eject on the bottom right part of the screen. now when i plug it in the computer, it turns off, and it won't charge. the computer doesnt notice its in the usb port. i don't want to blow $50 dollars. if anyone can help me make this thing work it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not familiar with that brand, but if it won't charge connected to an electrical outlet,it may just be a dud. I'd return it and get another one. Messing with it too much could void the Manufacturer's Warranty.
