Can anyone help me, how to convert DAT file to asf,mpeg files?? and how to use windows media enconder to convert DAT file to other file which is more light than DAT file but same quality?? coz i try already and it's getting heavier. ex. from Dat, i converted to mpeg(29 MB) then i use windows media enconder. and it becomes 50MB. plzzz help me!

andi try renaming the file then goto open with and try media player have fun!

Try using VirtualDub (www.virtualdub.org) and the Divx codec (www.divx.com) to get the smallest file size and best quality.

If you can drag and drop the .dat file into WMP and it will play it is an mpeg file, rename it to .mpg. If not it's a divx or avi file. If it won't play by (via drag and drop) you will need to re-encode the file.

thankx. but i still can't convert it. how to rename it??? i don't get it. can u show me the DETAILS please!!!(i'm a litlle bit stupid). which 1st icon i have to click and then... plz tell me thankx
