Hi!

I just installed Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Evaluation on my machine. I already had Visual Studio 7 installed.

The problem is the a window keeps poping up under various circumstances. The window is the one you would get if you run "mdm.exe" (Machine Debug Manager) with no parameters. The systems hangs a little prior to this.

Here are some events that cause this window to appear:
-> Run Visual Studio
-> Open My Computer->Manage->Services
-> Attempt to debug a program (system hangs completly)
-> Others cases I havn't been able to associate with a particular cause

I suppose SQL2000 screwed up some COM entrys or something.

Does anyone have any ideeas what to do?
Uninstalling SQL2000 doesn't help.

Best,
Mircea
