Very very annoyingly, any kind of instant messenger I use, like MSN, AOL, or Yahoo or whatever, has a 3 second lag everytime I type in a message. So I would type in a sentence, press enter, and 3 seconds later I would see it being processed and received. I know it cannot be my connection speed, as I use broadband and wireless LAN at school (this is my new laptop). What could be the problem?! is it some problem with the way Windows XP is handling my networking? or some problems with windows xp in general and I need to reinstall/repair? Could it relate with firewalls? Could it be because I use several different kinds of ways to connect to internet depending on where I am (I have used LAN, DSL, modem) This is driving me crazy and I need some help! Thanks!
