(ex. I'm at cnet and at the download page I try to link onto the homepage of a certain software, i click, and nothing happens),
and open external windows on internet explorer, I thought I needed an update so I went to windows update(I can't even get in there now)
I the decided to unistall some ie stuff. no go. So I said f!%k it reinstalling ie to orginal state,

Did the command way sfc/ scannow, Did the reg way changing the value then try to reinstall,
Tried vb script, I try running complete install of windows xp home(every control panel module cept user accounts one works,
go figure!) but i never bothered to put admin pass cause I'm the only one uses this computer.I reset web settings, clean cache
and files, I'm about as clueless as one can get, I need help reinstalling ie or better yet fix it!!!

Internet Explorer 6 SP1 Update (Saturday 11th October, 2003)
Overview
After you apply the cumulative security patch for Internet Explorer that is included in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-032, you may receive the following error message when you try to visit Web pages that are opened by JavaScript functions in frames or in windows:

HTTP 404 - File not found
This problem occurs because the cumulative security patch for Internet Explorer that is included in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS03-032 changes the base URLs of JavaScript functions to the direct scripting sites. If the JavaScript functions use relative URLs to open Web pages, this change will cause the URLs of the Web pages to be incorrect and you will receive the error message.

Update didn't work but i think you're on the right track with the javascript thing, cause each page that i try to open has a "javascript" right before the link, anyway fixing that?
