help me please!!!

i installed a new video card. no problems.
i intsalled the drivers. no problems
i installed the latest drivers from ati. after reboot, big problems.
it said c:\windows\system32\config\system is corrupt of missing so windows could not start. i followed the directions in a reply to another person on computing.net who had the same problem. now ive managed to restore windows back to normal by replacing the "system" file that was corrupt to the one in the c:\windows\repair folder. now windows boots, but i no longer have service pack 1 installed, and all of my programs are not "installed". the folders are there, and the start menu is normal, but most do not start when i click on them. furthermore, when i go to add/remove programs, THERE IS NOTHING. please help. i have no idea what to start doing now to fix this.

thanks,
brian

I would do a system restore back to the point where you installed then video card. Then load the drivers that are on the CD that came with video card.
Start/Programs/Accessories/System tools/System Restore.

Good Luck.
