Help - Direct3D crashing

Whenever I start something that uses Direct3D, it crashes and goes to a BSOD. I have tried diabling hardware acceleration, that just disables it, which causes the programs to not work, and I tried installing the drivers for my video card. Help!

Did you try reinstalling DirectX, preferably the latest version (9.0c) from the MS website? Did you use the official nVidia drivers for your grafx card (nvidia.com)?
