Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 1.729 GHz / 1022 MB

I started receiving two separate pop ups on my laptop and need help fixing them.

Specs are:
Dell Laptop Inspiron E1705.
Windows XP
Media Edition Version 2002
Service Pack 3

The pop ups are :

1) Data Execution Prevention - Generic Host Process for Win32 Services
Every time I close the window I send the info to Microsoft but the window just re-pops up.

2) AXWIN Frame Window: svchost.exe
The instruction at "0x02af05f7a0" referenced memory at "0x02af05f7a0". The memory could not be written.
I then receive a warning from NT Authority System and my laptop counts down after a 60 second clock
and restarts with the same issues once again.

My AVG definations are up to date. I did a full but nothing was found.

Any and all help would be appreciated to fish this.

Can I post a Hijackthis log file?

GaryXP, sounds to me like a worm/trojan at work and I don't think AVG can clean it. There're other more highly rated free AVs around.
Be aware that a virus and a Trojan are similar, but not the same. Many times, an AV detects one it can't clean, other times, it gets missed entirely.
If you need to clean one, Superantispyware (info only. I’m not paid for recommendation) can do the job and you can get it free @:
among other places. They have a Vista compatible version if needed Dunno about Windows 7..
If it turns out that you need to use it, be sure to update Superantispyware prior to running and disable 'restore' (restart after cleaning) so the nasty doesn't get put back. They just released a new update recently and it changes all the time. Things are in a constant state of flux.
The restore thing is critical. May not be your deal at all, but won't hurt anything to try.

Hi Ed,

I've had that program (SuperAntiSpyware) for a long time (prior to you telling me about, I just forgot to mention it in my original post) and it found nothing two days ago after I updated my definitions. I've used in the past Spybot -Search & Destroy as well as Ad-aware by Lavasoft but haven't tried those recently with this problem but I will.

Thanks for trying to help though, I appreciate it.
