help! c-mos error-defaults loaded

OS: windows xp
CPU/Ram: Celeron 900MHz, 256 MB

hey there. my pc always shows the msg "C-MOS error-Defaults loaded" every 3-4 restarts..and everytime, it'll change the clock..and so on.. does anybody here knows how i could fix that problem? i'm really tired of resetting everything when that happens..thanx! ;)

sounds as if your mobo battery is low. try changing it.

and..ermm..another thing is..my I.E. always closes by itself..for no reason..could it be caused by the above problem too? if not, is there any solution for this problem?

The mobo battery is on your motherboard, about the size of your watch,if you have one, Change that and your CMOS settings will remain the same.
As for your IE closing, that is NOT tied in with your CMOS, Does it disconect or just close??
If it disconects,
Goto Conrol Panel,
click Internet Options,
click conections,
click settings,
click properties,
click options,
then goto 'idle time before hanging up', click to never

hey don..thanx so much for the info..about the I.E..it just closes..it doesn't disconnects..i've tried scanning for virus..but no help.it still happens..*sigh* ;)
