First of all I have a folder on my desktop called HP Share To Web Upload Folder, and i cannot remove it from my desktop. There is no option to delete it, only to remove from desktop. When you choose to remove it, it doesnt go anywhere. Second, I think I might also have a spyware problem here is my hijack log:
I have tried Ad-Aware and Spybot, neither will remove or help getting this folder off of my desktop.

If the moderator sees this post, he will remove it since the rule is that HJT logs must be posted in security and virus after running AdAware and Spybot, which you have done. Just a word to the wise.

From your running processes log C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Share-to-Web\hpgs2wnf.exe ,it seems obvious why you cannot remove it.

End task on hpgs2wnf.exe and then remove it, or even better uninstall it from add/remove programs.

You must have installed some software that came with an HP product. Simply halting the task and deleting the folder may not solve the problem (folder may be recreated next time you reboot) and it might even cause problems because that program is looking for the folder. Try to uninstall the program that created the folder in the first place - unless of course you want/need that program.

This is the exact reason why I never buy ANY HP products any more. When installing drivers or other software you need for the product their installations will many times install other programs that you may not want and usually without any option to not install them.

I have the same Icon that was installed by my new HP camera software.
My right click menu has only "Remove from Desktop" for a removal option.

All that Post, for what ??????

I posted this because I right click like you said and click remove from desktop, and it doesnt remove it from the desktop. I also just opened task manager pressing ctrl-alt-delete and hpgs2wnf.exe is not in the list. Am I looking in the wrong place? I would try to remove it using the add remove programs, but I already did, and the folder is whats left over. I downloaded it somewhere on HP website but I cant seem to find it now. Thanks for the info on posting my hijack log, my first time posting so I did not know.

I have this same folder, the HP share to web came with my HP computer when I got it. Here's a description of what it does but I have no clue how to remove it. It doesn't bother me so I just left it alone because I may want to use this sometime. Also if you look in your programs list you will see HP share to web setup wizard so maybe it's a program. Check in add remove programs and see if you can remove it.

hp share to web

... A software- and Internet-based application for sharing photos with your friends, family and business colleagues via affiliated photo-sharing Web sites, such as hpphoto.com, myfamily.com, and cardstore.com offering:

Secure, online photo sharing, photo reprints, creation and sending of electronic or printed greetings, and an on-line "safe deposit box" for storing important files and sharing documents.
Convenient "drag-and-drop" for copying images and other files from your PC to the Share-to-Web Upload Folder before transfer to an affiliated Share-to-Web site.
Saving files directly to the Share-to-Web Upload Folder from most software applications.
