Strange things has happend with my computer since a few days: 1)Help and Support dosen't even start.
2)Search starts, but just the dog can be seen
3)Some pages are just blank in IE6, among them Windows Update and hotmail
4)Media Player dosen't work. "Internal Programerror"
5)Can't start system recovery, not even via failsafe mode.For some of those, there is solutions out there. But none of them works, at least those I have tested.
I´m running SP2. And I have not used Easy Cleaner. I suspect Norton System Works 2003 have something to do with this, but I´m not sure.
Consider a number of things. I'd try a system restore point first. Keep system works on and updated.
Might be some issue with actual computer. See about memtest on linux floppy or maybe even some diag software. You hard drive might be going, IBM (hitachi?)had a great free hard drive test but others have good hard disk diags tools too.
