hi , i'm still having problems with my HD,
when i have it running as a slave theres a partiton i cant access (F:) then these the E: (use to be C:) that I can access fine I dont know if this is causing my prolem, i tried running a repair on the drive and every looked like it went ok untill it rebooted at the end then I got a
hey, i went through the repair , and it went through the windows install, when it rebooted it got a stop: 0x0000007b (0xfac5640, 0f00000034,0x000000000,0x000000000) error
i ran a virus scan and it didnt find any thing
I have alot of imporant stuff on this drive I dont want to lose, if i backed up my user profile and did a fresh install of xp but didnt format would that reinstall xp and keep all my data the same?

I had a problem producing the same stop error - mine was down to a corrupted boot sector on a slave drive, but it can also be down to a number of other things - check the following M$ article for more info.
