Did you by chance go inside your case.If so check the connections are tight.And if that dont work try do a repair on your XP to see if it can be done.Or it could jus' be BAD.

its my 10G hd, there's a "clicking" sound when i turn on the power when its connected to the cpu. sound like something stuck in the hd disc. but i dont kknow since i've never open them. and dont know how to fix it.

Sorry to say but your hard drive is cooked. Take it out of your case and you will notice one of the micro chips has a burn mark on it. If it is still under warranty, ask for a replacement!! Put some more fans inside your pc case!!!
