I just purchased a Hawkings PS12U print server (1 parr and 2 USB ports) - neat in theory. I have a HP 690C parrallel port printer that when I try to print to it the print server hangs. I have another printer (HP Photo 100) that works fine with the USB port. Anybody have any ideas for me?

Here is my theory.... Usb is very fast. Parralel ports are much slower. Information is going in faster than it is able to print out on the slower port, thus hangup. Is there anyway you can convert the hp 690c to a usb also? This happened with all our printers natinwide that was using a parrell port btw and by switching to usb on them all boom problem fixed.
