Iam currently using Word 2000. I created a document which has our company logo pasted in the corner of the document. As this document is required by others in the company it is available over our network. The problem we are having is that some of the computers are running Word XP. So when they load the document the logo has moved down and looks out of place. Some might suggest that whoever opens the document can just move the logo back and problem sorted. The problem lies in the fact that these documents must only be available as read only to others through the company. And the company is not willing to upgrade all the computers to Word XP.
So if anyone can help,is there any patch or settings that will stop this from happening?
Thanks for any help

Have you tried saving it as a template (.dot) instead of a document? - in theory(!?) this should maintain all original formatting.
"I know that I'm mad - I've always been mad..."

Ah, John, you beat me to it!! Yes, save as a template, read only and it should do the trick. Alternativly, save it in everyone's C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033 and get them to open it by going File, New, Document and open the template.
Then you should be sorted

Have you tried inserting the picture as a watermark?
Go to Format > Background > Printed Watermark > Picture Watermark.
You will need to put the 'visible' part of the picture in the top corner of the picture file so it appears in the right part of the page.
Hope this works!
cursum perficio

Thanks for your input Roy
I tried what you suggested, but it still done the same again.
I will have a play with the settings to see if theres anything obvious, but if anyone has anymore suggestions i would appreciate it.
Thanks

Have you ever thought of creating the same document using the version of Word everyone else at your company uses rather than an older version?
