Comment: Whenever I try to update Norton with the internet connection (I use Dial-up @ 24k, I also have a home network) it says that the internet connection has been lost, but never actually connects, I can't use the modem connection option because there is no local numbers, could it be windows' firewall, is it looking for a connection through the LAN, or what? Thanks.

Reply: make sure you are connected to the internet with your modem first (unless you are on aol as this will not work) and the manually run live update after setting the configuration to LAN instead of dialup. if you are connected to the internet first, live update shouldnt know the different and will use whatever is active. OR you could just go to symantec.com and DL the inteligent updater and run it after disconnecting, it iwll update any symantec products on your system
