i am having a constant problem with my ram. often my computer stops at the windows logo or sometimes the computer displays blue screen of death . i have figured out that the root cause of the problem is the ram. coz when i removed one of the ram out of three( which i have). the computer worked fine. i was wondering if there is a device or a tool whereby we can check if a particular ram is defective... i know there are lot of programs to check rams
but is there a tool or a device to check ram.
thnx

Some computer stores have a device that can check ram -- just call around to different stores and see if they have one.

Hi Joe
There's a program which can rip any ram apart in terms of testing. I personally use it to my benifit all the time. It's no ordainary Ram Tester. It's called DocMemory and following is the address to it.
http://www.docmemory.com/
Download it on C: ,,then open it & copy it to a Floppy Disk.
Switch off the computer, insert the disk, switch on the computer & the Floppy takes you into a title screen with 3 options,,,select Quick Test,,,it'll start testing your Ram for all it's worth & tell you when & where it finds a problem.I'm sure this will help you.
Post a reply & let me know how u went.
Ofcourse it's free hehehehe
Cheers :)
